Setting
up iSCADA
iSCADA services are
delivered to the desktop by the Java Web Start technology. The iSCADA
client can be installed on the user’s PC by the iSCADA CD provided or
through a link in the Web browser. Once installed, the client will
automatically check for software updates at each login.
Step 1: Point your browser to
http://www.devicesworld.net/iscada/login.jsp
|
|

You may access the iSCADA server by logging in using a standard browser.
It allows quick access to your data but has limited functionality. Login
with the Customer ID, Administrator User ID and password assigned to you
This user manual does not cover browser
login usage.

For full functionality, you need to install an iSCADA Java program on your PC. The iSCADA client application requires the
latest Java runtime environment (JRE). If it is already installed on
your machine, go to Step 3. Otherwise, your browser will display a login page
as shown above. Follow the instructions to download JRE to a folder of your choice. Next, click on the downloaded
file to install the JRE.
Note: If you are unable to download the JRE, check with your Network
Administrator and request that executable files be temporarily allowed
through the firewall if necessary.
|
|
Step 2: Return to the login page after installing JRE and refresh the page
or click the
should see the Launch Application button as shown below.
|

Step 3: Click the Launch Application button, and
the iSCADA client program will be downloaded.
|
|
After the download, click Start
to run the application. You need to do this setup process only once.
|
|
Step 4: Login
You
are provided with a Customer ID, an Administrator User ID and Password
when your account was created. After logging in as an Administrator, you
may create additional users, who will then be able to login using the
User ID and password assigned by the Administrator. Every user under
this account must log in with the same Customer ID provided.

Ensure
that you change the machine-generated
Administrator password assigned to
you into something you can remember immediately after logging in.
For
subsequent login, you may return to the login page http://www.devicesworld.net/login.html
or launch iSCADA program from the shortcut generated on your desktop.
